("DEQ") for review.
The Company's President and CEO, Glenn M. Dobbs,
stated "We are extremely pleased to have the Preliminary Draft
completed, as it is the culmination of all of the environmental
assessment work completed to date, marking the completion of the most
significant step in the EIS process. All parties involved have worked
diligently to address issues related to the Project to ensure it will
meet or exceed environmental standards and reduce impacts associated with
the project. Mines Management is committed to conservation and taking
extraordinary steps to provide the maximum amount of protection to the
environment in the region."
The 900+

characteristics of the area, and the socio and economic situation within
the region, and develops alternatives and mitigation that would help to
reduce the projects environmental impacts. The PDEIS was prepared by an
EIS contractor selected and retained by the reviewing agencies and Mines
Management reflecting a collaborative effort. Following the agencies'
internal review, the Draft EIS will be published for public review and
comment, which publication is expected in April 2008.
Mr. Eric

process on behalf of the Company, stated, "This is a very important
step in the overall EIS process. While this is only a preliminary draft
which will go through several reviews prior to being released for public
