Anglo Pacific Group PLC ("Anglo Pacific" or the "Company") (LSE: APF, TSX: APY) is pleased to announce the appointment of David Archer as an independent non-executive director of the Company, effective from October 15, 2014. David will serve on the Company's nomination committee and as chair of the Company's remuneration committee.
David has over 34 years' international resources industry experience in the Americas, Asia, Australia and the Middle East. He currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer of AIM-listed Savannah Resources PLC, which owns majority stakes in a mineral sands project in Mozambique and a copper project in Oman.
David was previously Managing Director of ASX-listed company Hillgrove Resources Limited, where he was responsible for growing the company into a significant, dividend paying, mineral explorer and copper producer with assets in Australia and Indonesia. He also founded and was Deputy Chairman of Savage Resources Limited, a coal, copper and zinc producer.
The Company also announces that Paul Cooke has resigned as a director of the Company with effect from October 15, 2014, in order to pursue further endeavours. Anglo Pacific wishes Paul every success for the future.
