Release: Series 16 Release 8
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (July 6, 2015) - Tyhee Gold Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC) (the "Company") advises that, following the previously announced complaint (the Complaint) (see Tyhee news dated June 19, 2015) filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") against Dr. Hans Black, Dr. Black has advised the Company that, effective immediately, he will be stepping down as a director. He will remain as an advisor to the Board of Directors in relation to Tyhee's efforts to raise the necessary funds to revive the Company.
In its filing, the SEC named Interinvest Corporation, Inc. ("Interinvest") and Dr. Black, Interinvest's owner, President, Chief Compliance Officer, and Chief Investment Officer. Dr. Black has been a Director on Tyhee's Board since 2011 and is a shareholder in the Company.
Denis Taschuk, Chairman of Tyhee's Board of Directors, stated, "As a Board, we take the SEC's filing extremely seriously, although we note that, at this point, this is only a complaint, the validity of which has yet to be proven. Because Hans is intimately and actively involved in the advanced stages of trying to help us raise the necessary funds we need to advance our plans, we feel that, as an advisor maintaining his contacts, commitment and expertise, he will be of great assistance in this time sensitive effort."
The Board also offered its support to Dr. Black and expressed its hope that the situation with the SEC can be resolved in a timely manner.
While the Complaint mentions Tyhee as well as two other junior TSX-Venture listed companies and one TSX listed company, Tyhee has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
Details of the Complaint can be found on the SEC's website: http://www.sec.gov/
