Uracan Intercepts Additional
Uranium Mineralization, Increases Strike Length of Double S Zone on North Shore
Property, Quebec
October 30, 2007
Trading Symbol: (TSX-V): URC
HIGHLIGHTS:
- significant thicknesses (up to 104.2 meters) of uranium
mineralization in multiple drill holes
- strike length increased from 725 meters to over 1,000 meters and remains open
to south and down dip, narrows to the north.
Vancouver, Canada Uracan Resources Ltd. (the Company) is pleased to
announce that it has received additional assay results from the ongoing diamond
drilling program on the Double S Occurrence within the 900 Km2 North Shore
Uranium Property in Quebec. Mineralization has been extended from the
previously announced 725 meter strike length to over 1,000 meters of strike
length defined by diamond drilling.
Significant results from the recent drill program include: 0.023% U3O8 over 22
meters in SS-07-30, 0.025% U3O8 over 15 meters in SS-07-35, 0.025% U3O8 over
6.5 meters within 104.2 meters of 0.012% U3O8 in SS-07-41.
The drilling completed to date outlines the continuation of a series of
northeast dipping mineralized zones in the Double S area over the currently
defined strike length of 1,000 meters. This mineralization is open along strike
to the south as well as down dip. Mineralization continues to the north but
appears to narrow.
Several areas of broad mineralization were encountered to the south, with the
potential for additional mineralization in this area either as extensions of
the main zone or as new areas of mineralization. Drilling is ongoing to define
further mineralization in the southern area of the Double S Zone.
Double S Drilling
An additional 3,594 meters of diamond drilling in 15 drill holes has been
completed on the Double S occurrence since the previous August 2 news release.
The drill holes were planned to determine the strike length and down dip potential
of the uranium mineralization seen at surface. The upper portion of SS-07-28
was included in the August 2 news release, and additional mineralization
encountered in the deeper part of this hole is included below.
The northeast dip of the mineralization is modeled based on surface mapping of
outcrop exposures and the diamond drill holes completed to date. Generally the
mineralization has a shallow northeast dip, but this can be locally steeper.
A summary of significant mineralized zones is included below:

QA/QC
Samples were shipped by company personnel in sealed containers to Chemex
Laboratories of Val DOr, Quebec for analysis. Chemex is the laboratory
facility used for all assays from the North Shore Property program. Samples are weighed and catalogued
before sample preparation. The samples are crushed to 70% less than 2mm, split
and then pulverized to 85% of the sample being less than 75 m. All samples are
assayed using ICP-MS with analysis completed for 47 elements.
A QA/QC program was implemented as part of the sampling procedure for the drill
program. Field duplicates and field blanks were inserted into the sample stream
with at least one blank and one duplicate inserted per group of 40 samples sent
to the laboratory. Uracan does not have a uranium standard to insert into the
sample stream at this time. The laboratory also has an extensive in house QA/QC
system as part of their quality control system.
