Material Added to Leach Pad - The final 70 m of the first transverse slice through the existing heap, about 25,000 tonnes, was discharged off-heap due to space limitations. There is now sufficient open volume to return approximately this same tonnage to the new heap. Meanwhile, a ramp was built at the North end of the existing heap and the crusher was transferred up it to the elevation of the new heap (under leach) where a further 7,000 sq. m. of area has been levelled by bulldozer as a foundation for the second lift of the new heap.
The crusher is currently being fed by a Cat 988 B Front-end Wheel Loader, which has an 11 tonne bucket capacity. This unit suffered a blown tire early in the reporting period and was replaced temporarily with the previous Cat 980 G Loader whose capacity is about 1/3 less.
The dozer used for pushing crusher feed is now a Cat D8T. The Cat D9R originally expected was not available due to Customs difficulties.

Crusher Operations - The daily output from the Nordberg NW 1415 Impact Crusher increased during the reporting period due to the use of higher-capacity loading equipment as described above, as well as mechanical adjustments made by the manufacturer's representative to increase both crusher and conveyor belt speeds. Down time was incurred during the movement of the crusher from ground elevation, where it has operated since inception in December 2007, up to the first lift, some 8 m higher. This was the first time the crew had performed this maneuver and great care was necessary to avoid accidents.
Accessing More Mineable Material - Assay results from the El Pozo prospect and to a lesser extent the El Cobre deposit continued to be encouraging. Further assays are pending. Currently trenching is under way across the identified higher-grade portion of the El Pozo property, as well as on the hill immediately S of El Pozo where old workings are located. No work has yet been done on the El Este property to the East.
Leaching - The new Heap remains approximately 90% under leach. An estimated 350 USGPM is being circulated through it from the barren pond at a sodium cyanide concentration of 500+ ppm.
Descalant has been added to inhibit scale build-up from lime and caustic on emitters, valves, pumps.
The rainy season has begun, but has had no significant effect on pond levels as yet. The Emergency Pond continues to be kept at a low level as a protective measure.
The laboratory is operative for fire assay work for gold and silver. The backlog of assays is concluding. Wet analysis for copper has started. Gold and silver in solution continue to be determined by Atomic Absorption (AA)
The attritioning of carbon to remove fines continues and tests have been run to check on carbon precious metal loading from solution.
SART Copper Recovery Plant - Process piping work continues. Electricians are expected next week for wiring installations. Tanks have been numbered.
Permits are expected to be finalized shortly.

Material Agregado al Patio de Lixiviaci�n - CLos �ltimos 70 metros del primer paso transversal por el mont�n existente, alrededor de 25,000 tonnes, fueron descargados fuera del patio debido a la falta de espacio. Actualmente, hay un volumen abierto suficiente como para devolver aproximadamente ese mismo tonelaje al mont�n nuevo. Mientras tanto, se construy� una rampa al extremo Norte del mont�n existente mediante lo cual se traslad� la quebradora a la elevaci�n del mont�n nuevo (bajo lixiviaci�n) donde se ha nivelado un �rea adicional de 7,000 metros cuadrados con un tractor como base para el segundo piso del mont�n nuevo.
Actualmente, la quebradora es alimentado por un cargador frontal modelo Cat 988 B, cuya capacidad de cuchara es de 11 toneladas. Esta unidad sufri� una llanta reventada temprano en el per�odo pertinente y fue reemplazado provisionalmente por el cargador anterior Cat 980 G cuya capacidad est� algo como la tercera parte menos.
El tractor utilizado para empujar la alimentaci�n hacia la quebradora es ahora un Cat modelo D8T. El Cat D9R que se esperaba inicialmente no fue disponible debido a dificultades aduanales.
Operaciones de Trituraci�n - La producci�n diaria de la quebradora de impacto Nordberg 1415 NW subi� durante el per�odo debido al uso de equipo de cargar de mayor capacidad como descrito arriba, as� como ajustes mec�nicos realizados por el representante del fabricante para aumentar la velocidad tanto de la quebradora como de las bandas transportadores. Hubo tiempo perdido durante el movimiento de la quebradora desde el nivel del suelo donde ha operado desde el inicio de la trituraci�n en diciembre de 2007 hacia el primer piso, unos 8 metros m�s arriba. Fue la primera vez que los trabajadores hab�an llevado a cabo esta operaci�n y necesitaba mucho cuidado para evitar accidentes.
Acceso a m�s material econ�mico - Los resultados del prospecto El Pozo y en grado menor de El Cobre siguieron alentadores. Se espera m�s resultados. En la actualidad, se hasta excavando zanjas de exploraci�n a trav�s de la porci�n de El Pozo donde hay una ley m�s alta, as� como en el cerro adyacente al S de El Pozo donde se ha encontrado labores antiguos. Hasta ahora, no se ha realizado trabajo alguno en la propiedad El Este, ubicado m�s al este.
Lixiviaci�n - El mont�n nuevo queda igualmente bajo lixiviaci�n en un 90%. El volumen de soluci�n que circula por ello desde la pileta pobre es estimado en unos 350 USGPM a una concentraci�n de cianuro de sodio de 500+ ppm.
Se ha agregado anti-incrustante a la soluci�n para impedir la formaci�n de sarro proveniente de la cal y la sosa en los emisores, las v�lvulas y las bombas.
Ya empez� la �poca de la lluvia, pero hasta ahora no se ha afectado mucho los niveles de las piletas. Se mantiene bajo el nivel de la Pileta de Emergencia como una medida protectora.
El laboratorio queda operativo en el modo de ensayes a fuego para oro y plata. Ya se est� terminando con los ensayes atrasados. El an�lisis de cobre con l�quidos ha empezado. Siguen el an�lisis de oro y plata por el m�todo de Absorpci�n At�mica.
Unos 5 toneladas de carb�n han sido procesados mediante rozadura y se ha llevado a cabo pruebas para ver como se comporta el carb�n en lo que se refiere a adsorpci�n de valores de la soluci�n.
Planta SART de Recuperaci�n de Cobre - Se contin�a la instalaci�n de tuber�a de proceso. Se espera la llegada la pr�xima semana de electricistas para instalar el cableado. Los tanques han sido identificados con n�meros.
Se espera finalizar los permisos para la planta en breve.
