COMPLETION UPDATE AT J. VELA #1 GAS WELL

VANCOUVER, CANADA -- May 21, 2008 -- Horizon Industries Ltd. (Horizon)
(TSXV:HRZ), further to the Company's news release dated May 9, 2008, is
pleased to announce that Ventum Oil and Gas, LP (Ventum) of Houston,
Texas, the project operator, has advised that it is evaluating the J.
Vela #1 well to design a fracture treatment and to recommend a
completion plan. Ventum anticipates that the well will be fracced and
tested within 30 to 45 days.

Horizon has exercised its option to acquire a 3.125% working interest
in the well from Pan American Production Company and has paid its
proportionate share of completion costs of the well.
